CULTURE OFFICERS CARRY THE GUARANTEE OF MANAGING THE CULTURE OF THE COUNTRY
Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports Hon. Ambassador Dr. Pindi Chana has asked the Cultural Officers in the country to participate and effectively manage Cultural activities in their areas as well as protect Tanzanian traditions and customs. Hon. Ambassador Dr. Pindi Chana has given these instructions on April 14, 2023 in Bagamoyo District while opening orientation training for the Cultural Officers of Zanzibar Districts where she has explained that the training will help to strengthen the implementation of the duties of those Officers including managing the issue of Ethics, Cultural Heritage, and the History of Liberation of the African continent. "Both governments recognize the importance of this training because the Cultural Officers carry a great responsibility for the country, including promoting and continuing our Kiswahili language, developing the Art and Innovation Sectors as well as solving the challenges facing our stakeholders," said Hon. Pindi Chana. Previously the Commissioner of Culture of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar Dr. Omar Mohamed has said that the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar will continue to cooperate with the Government of the United Republic in exchanging experiences in the Culture and Arts Sector in order to have a common development. The training has different topics including the responsibilities of Policy and Structural Cultural Officers, Conservation and Development of Cultural Heritage as well as African Liberation Heritage.
